Study visit to the University of Tuebingen

Wassie Mersha Takele visited the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Tuebingen. Specifically, he attained a laboratory internship at the Department of Chemical Nanospectroscopy of the institute. During his visit, Wassie had got hands-on experience on the following scientific techniques:

  • Electron Beam Physical Evaporation
  • Confocal Microscopy
  • Microresonator Cryo
  • Spin Coating Methods
  • Nanocavity Preparation and Characterization

Since Wassie is going to use all of these scientific tools throughout his research, this training is very helpful to his future works. Wassie is going to join the aforementioned department for his secondment in the coming February. Hence, during this trip, he have discussed also his future plans with his scientific supervisor there.
