18) Smart Tips: Droplet Microfluidic Chips-on-Tips Directly Operable with Automatic Pipettes

Supervisor: Piotr Garstecki

Yu-Kai Lai was born in Taiwan. He obtained bachelor degree in mechanical engineering at National Taiwan University. After he working as research assistant in NTU for a year, he pursued M.Sc in physics at École Normale Supérieur de Paris-Saclay, France. Since the last year in bachelor study, he started to study on microfluidics. He holds one patent which is related to an improvement of electrowetting on dielectric device. Also, during his master studies, he was designing and characterizing on Organ on a Chip.

In October, 2017, Yu-Kai Lai joined the Microfluidics and Complex Fluidics lab which is led by prof, Piotr Garsteki. His main research focuses on an easy, rapid and simple sample preparation on microfluidic device.
