Viknasvarri Ayerdurai, NaMeS PhD student, paricipated in the European Materials Research Society fall meeting. The conference was held at the Warsaw University of Technology. The conference was accompanied by exhibitions and technical sessions. The conference consisted of 21 parallel symposia with invited speakers, oral and poster presentations and a plenary session that provided an international platform for discussing recent advances in the field of materials science.

Viknasvarri participated in the session VII Bioinspired and bio-integrated materials as new frontiers nanomaterials. She was particularly interested in the lecture entitled Molecularly imprinted polymer nanocomposites as synthetic antibody mimics for biomedicine. This lecture was delivered by Prof. Karstwn Haupt one of the world leaders in molecular imprinting field. He discussed the topic in depth in the forum hence it contributed towards a better understanding of the subject of imprinting. Profesor has also shared the work he has done with the L’oreal Paris and the bridging between industry and academy. Moreover, Viknasvarri Ayerdurai actively participated and presented a poster and an oral communication both entitled “Molecularly imprinted polymers for the determination of selected food toxins”.
