2020-08-25

Kumar Sarang, NaMeS Ph.D. student in the Environmental Chemistry group of ICHF PAS, participated in online EGU General Assembly 2020 held from 4-8 May 2020. The EGU General Assembly 2020 was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic condition around the world. It was a unique experience for Kumar Sarang to attend a virtual conference for the first time. The agenda of the conference comprised of around 18000 abstract submissions, 11000 presentations along with approximately 800 plenary sessions. The conference was quite interdisciplinary, conducting sessions on streams such as Atmospheric Sciences, Biogeosciences, Cryospheric sciences, Earth and space sciences, Soil sciences, Ocean sciences, etcetera. Whereas the main focus of Kumar Sarang was attending sessions mostly on Atmospheric Sciences.

Kumar Sarang delivered a poster presentation of his work titled “Tropospheric aqueous phase oxidation of green leaf volatiles with OH and SO4 and NO3 radicals” at the EGU 2020.
