International Spring School of Electrochemistry

2019-07-22

Viknasvarri Ayerdurai and Alcina Johnson SUDAGAR, NaMeS PhD students, participated in the summer school, Smart materials for and from electrochemistry at Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy. This school was organized by the Italian Chemical Society. The summer school focused on smart materials that can be produced through electrochemistry. The lectures were offered by leading experts in the field of electrochemistry on the fundamentals and recent advancements in electrochemical approaches to preparation of new materials and their characterization. Hence, students were able to familiarize themselves with both (i) the materials that are used for many relevant electro-chemical applications and with (ii) materials that are prepared and/or characterized with the help of electro-chemical tools. Moreover, the lectures introduced students to the current advancement and applications in electro-chemistry. Finally, the summer school also allowed students to establish international collaboration between the Polish Academy of Science and renowned researchers from the Italian Chemical Society.
