The CONIN workshop

2018-04-24

Carolina Cruz Cardona and Horacio Serna, NaMeS PhD students, participated in the CONIN workshop that took place in Madrid. The workshop was organized as a part of the Horizon 2020 RISE project "Effects of confinement on inhomogeneous systems" (CONIN).

The aim of the workshop was to summarize the recent progress in colloidal and amphiphilic self- assembly and in the room temperature ionic liquids, both in the bulk and in confinement, as well as in mobile ions in intercalation compounds and on solid surfaces.

During the workshop, besides the talks given by some of the attendees, some posters were also exhibited. Horacio presented his poster titled: “Effects of confinement in continuous-space  three-dimensional SALR systems”. Finally,  in the end of the workshop Carolina and Horacio had space for talking with their respective co-advisors regarding the advances so far and the future work in their research.
