Faria Khan participated in the 38th Annual American Association for Aerosol Research Conference which took place virutally. It was five days’ long event with parallel sessions, platform presentations and networking events. Faria was able to attend various sessions on air pollution, aerosol formation, updated instruments and techniques used in the environmental and meteorological monitoring. Furthermore, was able to present in the “meet the job seekers” event as a poster presenter – „Environmental Health Scientist: Exploring a Position to make Earth an Inhalable Place for Future Generations“, and in the biomass burning aerosol toxicology session as a plenary presenter entitled: “Biomass Burning Aerosol Components Impair Mitochondrial Functioning to Induce Toxicological Response in Lung Cell Lines”. Since the event took place virtually, Faria Khan was able to attend various sessions on biomass burning aerosol, isoprene, monoterpene, plant volatile emissions and spread and control of COVID-19 from environmental perspective.
