Virtual Society of Toxicology Conference - SOT

Faria Khan took part in the Society of Toxicology Virtual 2021 SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, held between 12-26th March 2021. It is the largest annual event featuring a broad range of scientific sessions and a thematic program that provides attendees with a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge in topical areas. The scientific program includes plenary lectures and other featured sessions, symposia, workshops, information sessions, and poster sessions. Faria presented the research poster titled “Exposure to Atmospheric 4-Nitrocatechol causes Mitochondrial Dysfunction to Induce Apoptosis in the BEAS-2B Cells”. In addition to it, she also presented a 3-minute video of her thesis in the Graduate student competition titled “3-Minute Thesis”. In addition to the presentation, she took part in the various plenary and platform sessions in the toxicology domain. She also attended five courses offered as a part of the “CEd-Tox: SOT Continuing Education Courses Online”.
