Working visit to the Hiroshima and Chiba University


Richard Löffler has visited two universities, at Hiroshima and Chiba. During his visit from the 24th of February to the 8th of March at Hiroshima University he met with Prof. Shinpei Tanaka to do a lot of experimental work on their current project, investigating the self-motion of Ethyl Salycilate droplets on a soap solution.

Dusan Mrdenovic participated in the secondment at the University of Guelph, Canada. Research at secondment institution was a continuation of studying the mechanism of interaction between amyloid β (Aβ) peptide and model cell membrane, an event relevant to understand pathology of Alzheimer’s disease.

From 1st to 29th of December, 2019, Ying Zhou had a lab visit at prof. Huck’s group, Institute for Molecules and Materials, Radbound University, the Netherlands. The main purpose of her trip was to gain theoretic knowledge and practical experiences of microfluidic technologies.

Study visit at the Institute for Nanoscience and Cryogenics in Grenoble


Natalia Olejnik-Fehér, NaMeS PhD student, participated in the study visit at the Institute for Nanoscience and Cryogenics in Grenoble, France. The 3-weeks long trip to Grenoble had a dual focus. Firstly, she planned a series of experiments to close two different projects, and secondly discussions were needed the finish her first paper draft as well as to start working on new one, both related to the two experimental projects.

Working visit to the National Institute of Chemistry


Kumar Sarang, NaMeS PhD student in Environmental Chemistry Group went along with his supervisor - Rafał Szmigielski, for a one week visit to National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The main objective of the visit was to discuss new research ideas and exchange the technical knowledge related to the field of atmospheric chemistry to boost the future collaboration with Slovenian partner institute i.e. NIC.

Study visit to LCPME Nancy


On the 13th-29th of July 2019 Alcina Johnson SUDAGAR went for a two-week research internship to the CNRS Laboratoire de Chimie Physique et Microbiologie pour les Matériaux et l’Environnement. It was focused on functionalization and electrochemical characterization of mesoporous materials.
