Yu-Kai Lai participated in the conference MicroTAS 2018. It is a prestigious professional conference for reporting research results in microfluidics, microfabrication, nanotechnology, integration, materials and surfaces, analysis and synthesis, and detection technologies for life science and chemistry.

The MicroTAS conference is one of the biggest international conference in microfluidic field. Thousands of worldwide scientists gather together presented the new technology and applications used on microfluidic devices.

Dusan Mrdenovic participated in the 10th Workshop on Applications of Scanning Probe Microscopy – STM/AFM 2018, organized by the Centre for Nanometer-scale Science and Advanced Materials, NANOSAM, of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Sciences, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

On 20th of November 2018 Natalia Olejnik-Fehér participated in Parisian Basin users meeting, organized by UCCS-UG SF Lille in frames of IR-RMN organization. IR-RMN is a French infrastructure for high-field NMR facilities.

New York Academy of Sciences NYAS organized a symposium and poster presentation session titled New Therapeutic Strategies to Combat Antibacterial Resistance. There were three sessions in which implications of antimicrobial resistance, advent of new therapeutic era and host-pathogen interaction were discussed.

Natalia Olejnik, participated in the Xth Symposium onNuclear Magnetic Resonance In Chemistry, Physics And Biological Sciences, organized at Institute of Organic Chemistry PAS. She attended in this symposium due to her growing interest in NMR, resulting from spectroscopic part of her PhD project.

4^th edition of Applied Nanotechnology and Nanoscience International Conference was organized this year in Berlin and chaired by Prof. Nicola Pinna from Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. The conference gathered around 300 attendees including many plenary and invited speakers in various fields in nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Natalia Olejnik, participated in the fall session of European Materials Research Society (EMRS), organized at Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). She attended consisted of 21, separate, symposia in different topics related to materials science.
